God damn you Kujo. Now I feel inclined to type.
We did trash talk <3 It's why people think i'm a loose cannon actually. Because you can come here to the war room where we all get rowdy and ruffle feathers, and then go on the game and meet with people who have this perception of you that's based on it.
It's easy to get the wrong idea from stuff that's typed. And almost all things typed in the war room are for pissing people off, hehe.
I doubt you never took the forums meta seriously, which is good. If you did! You suck :P
Anyone that knows me I have been the one to praise my opponents talent when it was due, to the ire of my corpmates who wanted to trash on people all day. One time somebody was trashing on HS for the PFBHz v Hellstorm battle and I made a post, lol.

Disagreeing with anyone that isn't "true" or "honest" even when I myself have a lot of work to do.
Anyways...I dunno why I mentioned that...just came to mind.
It used to be the thing, now I just GG Soul (props to Soul tbh, him GG'ing when AE started losing to FA was probably the most disarming gesture..I was so confused when he first started doing it...now i wish i'd have been the first to do it) and Rampage and I trash talk sometimes. <3
My homies in TP always knew me as being the guy who would defend people even when it was against the grain of everyone else's opinion. I remember arguing with my pals about Arirana glitching being developed only because Annie and Jane, us needing to unlock and fight off the FEC because locking was a ***** move outside of a brief reprieve, and numerous efforts to keep certain corps on the board even when others wanted them gone (187. and OH for 2).
I am passionate and to this day i regret that I didn't learn that trashtalking wasn't useful outside of forum meta until far to late. Trashtalk is the single greatest motivator to players like you and me.
BUT Kujo, AE wasn't my motivation for making FA as opposed to AE being created to combat TP
AE motivated me a bit when broadway and undead decided doxing my name and insulting my wife was fun. 
The reason why I was so motivated to build FA was to prove 3 things:
1.) Show that you could find people who had been overlooked. That anyone can build a corp.
I had Himiko, TBA, Pal, Funk, and like 4 others. I still have no clue why Pal and TBA agreed to come along. I know Himiko believed in me because we won some battles without OSGR and Reg and Cubs and Legend vs some strong AE teams and I was FC'ing. No clue why they continually choose to deal with my imperfections. It's really humbling. They are the backbone of experience. They anchor FA. They each had their own "babies" like TP was mine, but for the most part they put a lot of eggs into FA's basket when they had nothing to prove to anyone and could have gone to AE and been A-team.
My biggest heroes in dust though are people like dwater, frost kitty, jenova, noami, chancesghost, ttw3, and wolfica. and to a lesser extent xero cool and arkena.
2.) I wanted to play PC competitively.
3.) Because others wanted me to fail. I'll never forget when a certain someone wrote that the people following me were making a mistake. I don't wanna cause drama unnecessarily, but anyone familiar knows who has bad blood with me and knows what I'm talking about. That's the single greatest motivator.
I had to prove I could build a corp from scratch that was competitive with the best and I didn't need other people's a-teams to do it. And i had nothing to offer anyone except my friendship and a dream.
Though it quickly became obvious AE was going to target me (for obvious reasons)  .
The funny part in retrospect is that my whole corp could have been Cubs if he hadn't quit PC.
Or if Reg hadn't quit for PS4 for that bit. Or if Kane had convinced me.
Or a couple others had they enticed me i little more.

I respect you as well. You are a great leader.
And there's only 3 other CEO's I have that respect for.
TL;DR
Lot's of love for FA and backstories.
FA wasn't created to compete with AE. If I really had wanted to beat AE I'd have gone to RND and built Dubbs corp up.
